Along with collaborator, Hortus Collective, we redesigned the garden surrounding this charming Georgian property, which has breathtaking views across the South Downs. The concept stage for this design included an exciting re-imagination of the main entrance onto the property, plans for a new cottage garden, formal lawn planting, and a woodland glade scheme to surround a new swimming pool.
I have been involved with this project since the onset, by engaging in continuous discussion with the clients with regard to hard and soft landscaping. Along with Mark Rogers (from HC), I advised on removals & edits, and developed unique planting plans for each area of the garden as well as managing contractors during the planting of specimen species trees and topiary in the Winter of 2024-5.
Primarily responsible for the planting design of the Walled Garden (featured in pictures shown), I re-envisioned this historic space with a loose, successional scheme to complement new yorkstone flag paving. Planted in early March 2025 by myself and a working team of gardeners, the Walled Garden has already begun to flourish and I am excited to see how it develops as shrub roses and perennial planting matures.

Varied planting schemes across the garden allow for drought-tolerance in the form of a new gravel entranceway, cottage garden abundance and cut flowers, low-maintenance perennial planting, & a lush woodland scheme.
Since planting the garden earlier this year I have been involved with its establishment and evolution over Spring-Summer 2025.
